Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Steady Edge Trading LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("Steady Edge Trading") collects, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. It applies to steadyedgetrading.com, The Forge training platform, the Steady Edge Trading email lists including the Sunday Macro Brief and the Thursday Mid-Week Read, the Steady Edge Trading Discord server, and all Steady Edge Trading products.

Steady Edge Trading is operated from Tennessee, United States. Questions go to info@steadyedgetrading.com.

2.1 Information you provide

Account information. When you create a Forge account you provide an email address and set a password. Passwords are handled by the authentication service and are never visible to Steady Edge Trading.

Onboarding profile. Before entering The Forge you provide a first name, last name, city, state, and a display name. First name and last name are private. City and state are private except that they may place an unlabeled dot on the member map described in section 4. The display name is visible to other members as described in section 4.

Age bracket. Onboarding requires you to select an age bracket. The Forge is for adults, so an under-18 selection ends the process and no account information is saved on that path. The bracket you select is stored.

Member research answers. Onboarding asks how you heard about Steady Edge Trading, how long you have been trading, what you are trading now, what you are working toward, and your sex. Every one of these questions offers an answer for declining, and declining is recorded as a decline. These answers are used to understand who the training serves and to decide what gets built next. They are never sold, never rented, and never shared with an advertising network.

Marketing consent. Onboarding includes an optional, unchecked email opt-in. The choice you make and the time you made it are recorded.

Training activity. As you use The Forge, the platform records lesson completions and check scores, gate attempts and per-item results, completed simulator repetitions including the verdict, entry path, outcome, rule-by-rule adherence, the captured journal, and the emotional tag you select, saved artifacts such as The Why, the sizing worksheet, the trade plan and the readiness document, workout activity, experience points, levels, and streaks.

Support and correspondence. Anything you send by email, through a feedback form, or through Discord.

Purchases. Order records from the platforms that process your payment.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Technical logs. The website host and the database platform record standard server log information including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and timestamps, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.

Browser storage. The Forge sets an authentication session token so you stay logged in, and stores small preference values in your browser, such as which panels you have dismissed and unsaved work held for retry when a save fails. These are functional and are not used for advertising.

Referral parameters. Links to partner platforms carry a referral identifier so the partner can attribute a signup to Steady Edge Trading. That identifier is not personal information about you.

Analytics. Steady Edge Trading does not currently run third-party website analytics or advertising pixels. If that changes, this policy is updated before the change goes live and the effective date at the top of this page reflects it.

2.3 Information Steady Edge Trading does not collect

Steady Edge Trading never receives or stores your full payment card number, bank details, brokerage credentials, or proprietary trading firm account credentials. Payments are processed entirely by the third-party platforms named in section 5. Steady Edge Trading does not collect Social Security numbers, government identifiers, health information, or biometric data.

Personal information is used to:

• create and maintain your account and grant the access you purchased;
• deliver, personalize, and improve the training experience, including progress tracking, badges, scoreboards, and the daily workout;
• process and confirm purchases and manage subscription status;
• send transactional messages such as receipts, access notices, and account alerts, which are sent regardless of marketing consent because they are necessary to the service;
• send marketing email, including the Sunday Macro Brief and the Thursday Mid-Week Read, only where you have opted in;
• provide support and respond to your questions;
• maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce the Terms of Service;
• understand who the training serves, which channels reach them, and what to build next, using the research answers described in section 2.1; and
• meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Aggregated and de-identified data may be used to understand how the platform performs and to describe it publicly. Such data never identifies an individual member.

Steady Edge Trading does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Both surfaces described here are inside The Forge and are visible only to logged-in members. Neither appears on the public website.

The leaderboard. The Forge includes a member leaderboard visible to other logged-in members. The leaderboard shows only your display name, experience points, level, and rank. It never shows your legal name, email address, city, state, adherence percentage, or any dollar figure.

If you have not set a display name, an anonymous handle is shown instead. You may change or clear your display name at any time on the profile page, which returns you to the anonymous handle.

The member map. The Forge includes a map of the United States showing where members are training. Your city and state place a single unlabeled dot on that map. The dot carries no name, no display name, and nothing that connects it to you. Where more than one member is in the same city, the map shows one dot for that city.

The map is built from a count by city. It does not expose an individual member’s record, and it is not shown anywhere on the public website.

Your research answers, your age bracket, your legal name, and your email address never appear on the map, the leaderboard, or any other surface visible to another member.

Steady Edge Trading uses the following providers, each of which processes some personal information on its own terms:

Each provider is bound by its own agreement and privacy policy. Steady Edge Trading shares only what a provider needs to perform its function.

Personal information may also be disclosed where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Steady Edge Trading or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case notice will be given.

Marketing email is sent only to people who opted in. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately across all Steady Edge Trading marketing lists.

Transactional email related to your account, your purchase, or your access is not marketing and continues while your account is active.

You can update your profile fields at any time inside The Forge. To change your email address, request a copy of your data, or request deletion, write to info@steadyedgetrading.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information is held about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or targeted advertising, which Steady Edge Trading does not conduct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, write to info@steadyedgetrading.com from the email address on your account. Steady Edge Trading will verify your identity by confirming control of that address and will respond within the period required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Steady Edge Trading is a small business that currently falls below the applicability thresholds of most state comprehensive privacy laws. The commitments in this section are offered voluntarily to every member regardless of residence, and they are honored.

Steady Edge Trading operates from and stores data in the United States and does not target the European Union or the United Kingdom. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information is processed in the United States.

Account and training data are kept while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterward for records, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Purchase and tax records are kept for the period required by law, generally seven years. Email list records are kept until you unsubscribe, and a suppression record is kept afterward so that an unsubscribed address is not re-added. On a verified deletion request, personal information is deleted or anonymized except where retention is legally required.

Access to member data is restricted at the database level so that each member can read and write only their own rows. Public leaderboard data passes through narrowly scoped functions that expose only the four public fields. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Payment card data never touches Steady Edge Trading systems.

No system is perfectly secure. Steady Edge Trading cannot guarantee absolute security and you use the Services at your own risk. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, Steady Edge Trading will notify affected members by email without unreasonable delay and will comply with applicable breach notification law.

The Services are for adults. The Terms of Service require members to be at least 18 years old, and onboarding asks for an age bracket and ends the process on an under-18 selection, so no under-18 profile is created. Steady Edge Trading does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, write to info@steadyedgetrading.com and it will be deleted.

This policy may be updated. The current version is always posted at steadyedgetrading.com/privacy with the effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email to opted-in subscribers or by notice inside The Forge.
